Built in London in 1796, this 800-ton vessel with an 18-foot draught was captained by R. Witterel and crewed by 51 men. Its last known voyage was to the Orient, but it failed to meet its scheduled rendezvous at the Cape of Good Hope.

An Insurance Investigation with Minimal Color

In 1802, the merchant ship Obra Dinn departed from London, carrying over 200 tons of trade goods destined for the Orient. After six months without reaching the Cape of Good Hope rendezvous, it was declared lost at sea. This morning, on October 14th, 1807, the Obra Dinn inexplicably arrived at Falmouth port. With its sails damaged and the crew missing, it presents a curious mystery. As the insurance investigator for the East India Company's London Office, you are instructed to travel to Falmouth immediately, find a way to board the ship, and conduct a damage assessment.
