In Rock Of Ages, the player takes on the role of the Sisyphus stone and escapes from his castle on a hill to an enemy castle that is destined to land. It is confronted with various obstacles and an enemy boulder that tries to prevent it from achieving the goal. The result is that the player goes through five different historical periods with his artistic style, old Greece, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Rococo and Francesco Goyi's style, and stands against different bosses. In multiplayer, players stand up against each other, prepare their fortifications, and then roll into their boulders. Other game modes are races of time and blast to the target.
