Close Combat: Gateway to Caen focuses on the greates British offensive since the Normandy landings in an attempt to break through the German lines west of Caen and prevent their progress across the River Odon. You can move or merge their combat units at strategic level and decide the outcome of the battle at the tactical level. You command the units in combat situations, using small arms, mortars, machine guns, armored vehicles, tanks and issue artillery and mortar fire, or even the air strikes.
