Darksiders: Genesis is an action adventure in which you fight your way through hordes of demons, angels and everyone else on your way to Hell and back using firearms and swords. Genesis gives players a taste of the Darksiders world before the events of the first game and also introduces the new rider Zvar. From the beginning of creation, the Council has maintained a balance within existence. Those who carry out their commands - the horsemen, otherwise also the Nephilim - powerful beings, born of an unnatural connection between angels and demons, swore the faithfulness of the Council and gained enormous power and strength. But this force also carries a tragic price. The Riders were forced to liquidate their own kind with the help of the newly adopted forces. What followed was a bloody battle for Paradise, in which the Horsemen, at the direction of the Council, wiped out the remaining Nephilim.
