Risk of Rain 2 is a relentless action that takes you more than anything, pushing time. "You've got it hard? You're going to get even harder from now on!" The game simply throws you into the first innocent-looking area in which it is your job to kill monsters, to drop coins from them, to open up the objects found in them, then to improve your character search for a portal, beat his boss and move to the next world. The difficulty indicator jumps a bit and continues to a new difficulty, while beating your enemies head off, earning money, upgrading your character, and so on and around, until you fall down under the difficulty and don't get it all over again.
